PRODUCTION UNIT SECTOR:

The productive units sector includes a number of productive organizations in agricultural and animal fields as well as labs that are depending on the outputs of sector activities such dates and diary tabs. The sector activities are expanding to include aluminum and furniture workshops in addition to drilling artisan wells.

Establishment of the sector:
The sector was established in 1994.

Services of the sector:
A. Agricultura1 Deve1opment:

1. The sector has (13) farms for the production fruits and vegetables wash the sector works in plant­ing grapes and fruitful trees (1300 trees),orange
and mandarin (3450 trees), guava (600 trees), palm (4630 trees) and mango (6000 trees) in addition to 2000 trees being raised. Farms also contain mango seeds for sale to farmers in reasonable prices.
2. planting of fruits, vegetables and grains (wheat. sorghum ...etc.).
3. Production of fodder and erection of green houses for planting fruits and vegetables.

B. Raising animals:

1. Establishment of cattle raising farms (1184 cattle) (Dutch Verzian) for the production of milk by capacity of 2500000 liter of fresh milk (Family milk - Yemen Diary Milk). Farms also contain labs for the production of milk products such as cheese, yo­ghurt,- butter and ghee.
2. Raising sheep and selling cattle to cover loca1 market demands.
3. Raising of original horses (60 horses) that participate in national- horse racing.

D. Aluminum and furniture lab (Sana'a - Taiz- Aden):

The sector has two labs for the production
of dates in Hodiedah and Sayoun. The production
capacity is 6000 tons annually increasable.

D. Aluminum and furniture lab (Sana'a - Taiz- Aden):

 These labs manufacture different house furniture and cotton and wool furniture.
All aluminum and metal works are also executed. (aluminum section - carpentry section-Arab furniture section –upholstery section-steel section)

E. Drilling artisan wells:

This sector is aiming at providing drinkable and
agricultura1 water and contributes to expending
green areas through drilling artisan wells against
reasonable prices. The sector currently has 5com¬plet and modern rigs.
