SEA TRANSPORT AND MARITIME SECTOR:

Establishment:

The sector was established in 2003 and the economic importance of the sector is represented in providing sea transport and maritime services to meet increasing demand for this service.

Experience and qualifications of the sector:

The second has complete management for sea vessels having international
certificate for marine safety and ships security from international agencies .staff of the sector has high qualifications and long experience.

Sea transportation means:

To provide sea transportation services. the sector has the following vessels and means:

1-Sam Yemen: versatile vessel- capacity: 2500 ton

2-Mareb: general commodities transportation vessel capacity: 1100ton.

3-Hemiar- Ghamdan: two boats providing sea services'

Services of the sector: the sector provides the following services:

 1- Provide marine services to ships coming to Yemeni ports.

2- Spread marine and sea transportation services to all ports of the Republic.
