MEAT AND PALES SECTOR:

 

 

 

Establishment:

The sector was established in 1993 to fulfill increasing demand for fresh and frozen meat by standard specifications and reasonable prices throughout the year to achieve balance between supply and demand

Services of the sector:

1.Supply the needs of markets (markets of governorates including hospitals, hotels and restaurants). armed forces and police of fresh and frozen meat and frozen chicken through selling points belonging to the sector in different governorates.

2.Provide sheep sacrifices that are sold in installments to people.

3.Collect cattie from local and foreign markets then raising and redistribution to the pales of the sector that are spread in different governorates for sale to public (total capacity of pales 15.000 cattle and 100.000 sheep distributed to most governorates of the Republic).

4.Provide transpiration services for fresh and frozen meat from central and local cooling facilities to points of sale and distribution in governorates.

5. Provide veterinary care for cattle and sheep in cooperation with concerned agencies.
