The industrial sector is a modem sector that is contributing in the economic development. The industrial organizations that are belonging to this sector are classified as very big organizations at the national level contributing. according to 2004 industrial survey, by 62% of the tota1 production value. 59.6% of the total added value and 59% of 1he total workers compensations (wages and salaries for workforce in big industrial organizations (1096 organization.).The leading organizations in this   industrial   sector are:

1-Bajel Food Industries complex:

Establishment was completed by introducing 3lines for the manufacturing and production of tomato paste in 1990 with a total capacity of 1500 ton of tomato paste/day.

Products of the complex:
1- The complex( produces. in addition to tomato paste other food products (fuol, green beans, fed beans, white beans) with a production capacity of 15000 cartoon/day and mango core by production capacity 200 tons /day.
2-The complex has two lines 10 produce empty cans and the average production capacity is 225000 can /shift.

Number of workers in the complex:
 531 male and female workers.

 
 Certificates obtained by the complex:
. ISO 9002/1994 .
.The complex is currently pursuing to obtain the international quality certificate ISO 9001/2000.

1-Encourages local farmers to rehabilitate lands and employs agricultural workforce

3- Purchase agricultural, crops by commercial prices.
4- contribute in developing vast agricultural lands

more than 3000 farmers.

and pharmaceuticals in Madbah area-Sana'a besides the faculty of medicine. .

packing factory to cover the needs of drug.

.In 1994. the lV solutions factory was established to cover the needs of local market and government tenders.
. In the last quarter of 2006. a modern
production line for the production of lV solutions was established to cover the needs of local market and export to neighboring markets.
